OBiKWA is a South African wine brand with an adventurous personality. With their lightweight, environmentally-friendly, screw-cap bottles, these wines were designed to be enjoyed somewhere exciting and wild.

Using #PadkosQuest, OBiKWA crowd-sourced the best padstals and roadside restaurants around the country. Just before the December holidays, we released this map as a Z-fold insert in local travel magazines.

Copywriter: Candice Botha

The front of the map included a key with the names of the top padstals, as well as the handles of those who voted for them.

On the back, tasting notes, travel tips and a few facts about the brand were written into quirky copy that brought OBiKWA's adventurous personality to life.

DID YOU KNOW?

The R62 wine route is the longest in the world.

We’ve made it even longer by selling OBiKWA in over 43 other countries. We’re also the first wine in SA to use lightweight bottles: 25% lighter on the backpack and on the environment.

Some of the oldest remains of modern humans were found in Klasies River Cave.

We got our name from one of South Africa’s earliest people, paying tribute to the adventurous OBiKWA tribe and their trusty companion, the ostrich.

The Kruger National Park supports the greatest variety of wildlife in Africa.

We have over 9 varietals of wine in our award-winning range: all fun, easy-drinking and affordable enough to enjoy every day.
